UCSF MOCAP Overview

Our goal is to align QI work at UCSF with ABMS MOC standards to recognize and award participating physicians with specialty board MOC4 credit.  We focus on collaborating with QI leaders on how to engage their faculty for meaningful participation. We found that MOC4 can be an effective and efficient way to create buy-in and reward faculty for participation in QI projects.

UCSF Quality Review Board

The QRB is co-chaired by Jeffrey Tabas and Glenn Rosenbluth. Members are representatives from various UCSF departments and divisions including housestaff representatives. The QRB provides support to physician leaders of established QI initiatives to ensure the project structure and documentation meets MOC4 requirements. They also provide education and guidance to departments and physician leaders regarding MOC4 requirements for QI projects. Our current QRB members can be found here.
